Job Description

MANTECH seeks a highly motivated Software Tester to support a high-performing team of Software Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Data Engineers in Herndon, VA.

 

You will join an elite team delivering automation and big data analytics for the Intelligence Community, focusing on enhancing software testing capabilities for critical GOTS applications. This role supports the customer’s mission to measure system security and compliance levels by automating processes and ensuring the integrity of cybersecurity applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of software testing, including both manual and automated processes, to ensure application functionality.
• Test complex application features used by customers to demonstrate cybersecurity compliance and threat protection.
• Enhance software testing capabilities for GOTS applications and act as the central point of contact for testing activities.
• Develop comprehensive test cases for every new feature and function to ensure full coverage of the application lifecycle.
• Perform detailed regression testing to maintain product integrity and identify potential defects during the development cycle.
• Document failed tests with clear descriptions and visual evidence, including screenshots and graphics, for developer review.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to resolve identified bugs and verify fixes within the operational environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Experience testing and debugging COTS and GOTS software within a development environment.
• Ability to identify and document software defects, edge cases, and security vulnerabilities.
• Experience working with developers to resolve identified bugs and verifying technical fixes.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation and test reports for complex software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing Selenium or other automated testing tools to increase testing efficiency.
• Proficiency in performing software testing within both Linux and Windows operating environments.
• Familiarity with big data analytics or automation workflows within the Intelligence Community.
• Experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking and project management tools.

Clearance Requirements

• This position requires an active and current TS/SCI with polygraph.

Physical Requirements

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
