Lead a high-volume subspecialty service while shaping clinical, educational, and scholarly direction at a top academic institution. The University of Michigan Department of Pathology seeks a Section Chief of Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Pathology. This senior academic leadership role in Ann Arbor, Michigan, provides strategic and operational leadership across a high-volume practice serving Michigan Medicine and affiliated programs. Opportunity Highlights

• Serve as Section Chief of Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Pathology
  • Lead a section of 11 faculty members
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-volume GI pathology practice
  • Direct a subspecialized service supporting Michigan Medicine and affiliated clinical programs
• Work at the University of Michigan, ranked #3 in Top Public Universities  
• Choose to practice 100% GI and liver pathology, with an option to add another subspecialty
• Support approximately 23,700 in-house cases and 5,300 outside consult cases annually
• Advance clinical excellence across the gastrointestinal pathology service
• Foster academic innovation aligned with departmental missions
• Support the missions of patient care, education, and research
