Job Description

This role involves performing high-quality MIG, TIG, and flux core welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals while following blueprints and drawings. You will apply strong fabrication skills, adhere to welding safety standards, and contribute to the production of precise, durable metal components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and flux core welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals according to project specifications.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to complete welding and fabrication tasks accurately.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment, including computerized welding systems, to achieve consistent, high-quality welds.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components using appropriate welding techniques and tools.
  • Follow established welding quality control procedures to inspect, verify, and document weld quality.
  • Use brazing techniques when required to join metals and support fabrication needs.
  • Maintain a safe work area by following welding safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of tools and materials.
  • Inspect materials, components, and finished welds for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and project deadlines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience with MIG welding.
  • Hands-on experience with TIG welding.
  • Hands-on experience with flux core welding.
  • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal fabrication.
  • Solid understanding of welding safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to follow welding quality control procedures to ensure consistent weld integrity.
  • Ability to operate computerized welding equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Certification from a welding program or institute.
  • Brazing experience to support a variety of metal joining applications.
  • Knowledge of welding quality control procedures and standards.
  • Comfort working with different metals and fabrication techniques.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing precise, high-quality welds.

Pay and Benefits
