Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 annually (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Traffic Control Manager to oversee traffic control operations for our expanding fiber infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient traffic management across multiple job sites.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in both field and office environments. You will lead a small team, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure all traffic control activities meet regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily traffic control operations across multiple projects
• Review and implement traffic control plans (TCPs)
• Coordinate with Construction Managers, contractors, and local authorities
• Schedule crews and manage field activities
• Conduct field inspections to ensure proper signage and lane closures
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed
• Obtain, track, and manage all required permits
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct safety audits and enforce safety standards
• Train and mentor traffic control personnel
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting

Team & Work Environment

• Manage a team of 6–8 personnel
• Oversee 3 traffic control trucks (2 crew members each)
• Collaborate with 2 external traffic control vendors
• Work split: 60% field / 40% office
• Based in Irvine, CA (field visits required)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in traffic control or related field
• Previous leadership or operations management experience preferred
• Required certifications:
• • Traffic Control / Flagger Certification
  • OSHA 30
  • ATSSA Certification
  • Caltrans (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of MUTCD and traffic control regulations
• Experience with scheduling tools and permit systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift equipment as needed
