A well‑established public accounting firm in the Spokane–Liberty Lake area is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its growing team. This role requires :

✅ Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

✅ Hands-on experience supporting construction clients (job costing, WIP, progress billing, etc.)

Candidates with additional manufacturing accounting experience are also welcome to apply.

We are looking for a detail‑oriented professional who is confident in client-facing work and excels in delivering high‑quality service to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements for small to mid‑sized business clients.
• Perform full‑cycle accounting: reconciliations, journal entries, A/P, A/R, month-end close, and general ledger management.
• Provide specialized support to construction clients , including job costing, WIP reporting, retention, and progress billing.
• Assist with tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Communicate clearly with Spanish‑speaking clients to explain accounting concepts and support their ongoing needs.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to clients and internal leadership.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on client engagements and workflow improvements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and firm procedures.

• SALARY RANGE: $65,000-$90,000

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required for daily client communication.
• Construction industry accounting experience – required .
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a public accounting environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with job costing, retention, progress billing, and WIP reporting.
• Prior public accounting firm experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
