Methodist Hospital is looking to hire an Operating Room (OR) Circulator RN to join our Surgical team! Position Summary: The RN – OR Circulator position manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel. Work Schedule: * Casual Position to work at least eighty (80) hours per quarter (provided sufficient hours are available and including confirmed shifts that are cancelled by the Hospital), excluding hours working for other staff, in-services, and mandatory education. * Of the required eighty (80) hours per quarter, at least eight (8) must be a weekend shift and at least sixteen (16) must be an evening or night shift. * Requirements are subject to change in accordance with MNA contract provisions. Required Qualifications: * Graduate of a school of nursing; minimum of Associate degree/Diploma in Nursing required. * Candidate must meet at least one of the following requirements to be considered for this position: * Minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience as a Registered Nurse Circulator. * Minimum of 1.5 years of Operating Room experience as a Registered Nurse Circulator where candidate has worked at least 1 year, independent of orientation, as a Circulator AND can show proof of successful completion of Periop 101 Course within the last 2 years. *Ask us about Periop 101 Tuition Reimbursement* * Minimum of 1-year Operating Room experience as a Registered Nurse Circulator, where candidate has worked at least 6 months, independent of orientation, as a Circulator AND candidate worked previously as a Surgical Technologist before completion of Nursing School. * If candidate is a new to the OR RN, pre-approval must be given by OR Manager and candidate must be enrolled in, or will enroll in, next cohort, of Periop 101 Program at Anoka Technical College. New to the OR RNs must be able to show that they are high performers in their current role to be considered for a position. * Orientation program is 6 months in length in which the candidate must be able to work M-F Full time on days 0700-1530 until the end of orientation, in which candidate will then be required to rotate through all shifts and weekends regardless of work agreement or FTE prior to completing orientation.
