Job Description

Legal Recruiting Coordinator

The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will join a supportive and collaborative Legal Recruiting team in Sidley's New York office. The coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Senior Legal Recruiting Manager with the planning and execution of the summer associate program and executing the firm's 1L, 2L and 3L recruiting strategies, including law school engagement initiatives for the New York office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide general support to the Senior Legal Recruiting Manager
  2. Assist in coordinating and planning all aspects of the summer associate program (events, trainings, work assignments, reviews etc.)
  3. Help maintain accurate records for the summer program
  4. Assist with summer associate onboarding and orientation as necessary
  5. Attend summer associate program events as required
  6. Coordinate summer associate mid- and end-of-summer reviews
  7. Coordinate 1L events and sponsorship opportunities as needed
  8. Serve as a firm ambassador
  9. Coordinate 1L and 2L recruiting materials and processing of applications and callback decisions
  10. Schedule a portion of law student callback interviews as needed
  11. Coordinate hiring meeting materials and assists with follow up efforts
  12. Maintain LawCruit database with accurate and complete records
  13. Assist with Fall Associate onboarding and orientation as necessary
  14. Conduct office tours for candidates, summer associates and fall associates
  15. Must be willing to work overtime as requested, especially during the busy recruiting season and summer program
  16. Work collaboratively and across the team and other departments of the firm
  17. Perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. Target Salary Range

$68,300 - $87,000 if located in New York

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three years of legal recruiting experience
  • Possesses superior organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines; excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently and be proactive
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Law firm or professional services experience
