The City of Craig is seeking a dedicated Laborer for our Crack Filling Crew within the Road & Bridge Department. This vital position supports street and infrastructure maintenance through a variety of skilled and general labor tasks, including crack sealing, patching, seal coating, and concrete work. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining public infrastructure such as culverts, street signs, and storm drain systems. Essential responsibilities include operating light equipment like tractors and mowers and ensuring traffic safety through proper flagging procedures.

To thrive as a Laborer on the Crack Filling Crew for the City of Craig, candidates must possess a solid foundation in roadway maintenance and an understanding of asphalt and concrete repair techniques. Strong skills in safe equipment operation, including hand and power tools, are critical, alongside the ability to quickly learn to handle light machinery. A commitment to occupational safety is essential, ensuring adherence to traffic control procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Successful applicants will demonstrate physical stamina, as the job demands lifting up to 50 pounds and effective mobility across various terrains and weather conditions.

Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Ability to become a certified flagger. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid Colorado driver's license. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle, and background check. Subject to random drug/alcohol testing.
