Brooksource is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our client’s ongoing modernization initiative. This role will support efforts to rebuild and enhance a suite of legacy applications into a modern tech stack. The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of hands‑on development experience with Java (Spring Boot) and Vue.js (or similar frameworks), is eager to learn, and thrives in a collaborative, agile environment. Key Responsibilities Application Development: Design, develop, and test full stack applications using Spring Boot and Vue.js. Modernization Support: Contribute to the migration of legacy systems to modern architectures and frameworks. Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, product owners, and business analysts during sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews. Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews. Troubleshooting: Assist with debugging, application support, and performance tuning. Continuous Learning: Stay up to date on new technologies and contribute to process and technical improvements. Required Skills & Experience 1–4 years of professional software development experience. Hands‑on experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend development. Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Solid communication and collaboration skills in a team environment. Nice to Have Familiarity with API development and integration (RESTful services). Exposure to Kong API Gateway or similar API management tools. Experience with legacy Java technologies (e.g., Struts, JSP, Oracle).
