Job Description

Job Summary: Join our team as a Front-End Development Engineer to help create cutting-edge technologies that efficiently manage vast amounts of information in real-time. Your innovative ideas will contribute to areas such as distributed computing, large-scale system design, UI design, and more, and you'll work on key projects that align with our organizational goals.

Principal Duties:

  • Deliver project milestones or consult based on set expectations; assess work effort, duration, and resources while ensuring requirements are met. Drive the identification and development of solutions for business challenges.
  • Adhere to tracking mechanisms to ensure IT standards are met and manage project expectations effectively. Provide status updates and maintain quality results.
  • Convert functional specifications into detailed technical designs involving test cases, user interfaces, API orchestration, deployment artifacts, and application monitoring.
  • Follow established development processes including Agile and DevOps, applying IT security standards proactively during development.
  • Serve as a key resource in your area of expertise.
  • Create unit test plans, application code, and automation configurations to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Establish performance baselines and monitor application/system performance, optimizing for peak efficiency.
  • Evaluate technology products and offer objective recommendations based on operational requirements.
  • Integrate enterprise-wide tools for proactive automation and management of technology environments.
  • Document and maintain system management strategies, including security and training procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team and IT departments to ensure compliance with security models and best practices.
  • Assist in resolving technology issues and contribute to process enhancements.
  • Coordinate system maintenance and upgrades, investigating root causes of service incidents.
  • Support the Applications Development Manager as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of application development experience.
  • Proficient in Java SE and EE, JavaScript, and API development concepts (JSON, XML, RESTful).
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and/or UNIX command-line development.
  • Understanding of security components and endpoint protocols.
  • Skilled in debugging tools and familiar with multiple technologies.
  • Experience with web frameworks such as Angular or React JS.
  • Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and message brokers.
  • Understanding of internet security issues and cryptography.
  • Experience with real-time and batch processing technologies.
