We are seeking experienced Contract Instructor Pilots to support our Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area in various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Learn more of our F-35 Fast Facts.

As a Contract Instructor Pilot, you will support military pilots in maintaining their qualification level in the Pilot Training Device by executing approved pilot training syllabi, upgrade, and tactics training. This position involves providing pilot training using the F-35 Full Mission Simulator (FMS) and operating the Instructor Operating Station (IOS). The instructor will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pilot training and tactics development, as well as recommendations for courseware updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pilot training using the F-35 Full Mission Simulator (FMS) and operate Instructor Operating Station (IOS)
  • Support military pilots in maintaining qualification level in the Pilot Training Device by executing approved pilot training syllabi, upgrade, and tactics training
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pilot training and tactics development, as well as recommendations for courseware updates
  • Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed
  • Comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with F-35 program and customer procedures
  • Sanitize all classified media (circuit cards, disk storage devices, etc.) to the LRU in accordance with established F-35 and customer procedures
  • Work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to fulfill F-35 training and continuation training objectives
  • Maintain a Secret level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access

Requirements:

  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment
  • Ability to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature
  • Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required

OCONUS Accompanied Status Available: Accompanied status means new hires may have qualifying dependents accompany them on their long-term overseas assignment.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

This position requires a Secret level security clearance with investigation within 5 years and be able to maintain Special Program Access Clearance (PAR).

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $139,600 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
