Job Description Primary Duties And Responsibilities The Employee Health RN I develops and administers the employee health program at Hoag. Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Interprets healthcare regulatory guidelines and standards for application and compliance for hospital employees.
- Administers, documents, and maintains health records for services provided to Hoag staff. Examples of such services include preplacement examinations. immunizations/vaccinations, surveillance of and provide screening of bloodborne pathogens exposures, and provide care for workplace violence injuries.
- Promotes prevention of work-related exposures, identification of work-related risks and developing programs and strategies that reduce those risks as much as possible.
- Aids in prevention of injuries and illnesses by assisting in the maintenance of a safe work environment.
- Build awareness to all employee health programs and services.
Qualifications Education and Experience BSN is preferred
License Required Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
License Preferred N/A
Certifications Required BLS certificate
Certifications Preferred COHN, or COHN-S certification
