Job Description

A well-established community bank with over 100 years of service is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to join its growing lending team. This is a high-impact role for a relationship-driven professional who thrives on partnering with business owners, farmers, and community leaders to provide lending solutions that support growth and long-term success.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of commercial, real estate, and agricultural loans, guide clients through the lending process, and ensure compliance with banking policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted financial partner
• Originate, service, and manage commercial and agricultural loans
• Monitor loan performance and proactively manage portfolio risk
• Review creditworthiness, financial statements, and collateral documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
• Report on portfolio updates to loan committees and leadership
• Represent the bank in local business, civic, and community organizations
• Assist with collections as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance customer experience
• Serve on internal committees and contribute to bank-wide initiatives

Qualifications and Strengths

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial real estate lending experience
• Strong knowledge of underwriting, credit analysis, and loan servicing
• Proven relationship-building and customer service skills
• Sales-minded with strong negotiation and consultative skills
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
