Barista, Woodlake Market Work Mode: Onsite Location: Kohler, WI Opportunity Do you have a passion for coffee, wellness and working in a fast‑paced environment? Does the thought of providing guests with quality food and beverages in a café setting interest you? If so, then the Barista position is for you! Specific Responsibilities: Greets guests with enthusiasm, presents them with the menu and takes guest orders accurately. Suggests food and beverages to the guest utilizing appropriate methods to upsell, including the health benefits of supplements and superfood smoothie add‑ons. Processes payment transactions for internal and external guests in a timely manner. Communicates effectively to the guest and aids with questions. Observes guests and ensures their satisfaction with the food and service. Provides service recovery if necessary and involves appropriate leadership when needed. Responds promptly to guests with any additional request or questions regarding menu or supplement offerings. Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort to the guest. Assists with stocking, dry goods inventory levels and maintaining the restaurant par stock levels and side station at respected location. Utilizes all café SOPs and follows opening and closing checklists consistently. Assists Café Coordinator with R&D of monthly drink specials and monthly smoothie specials at respected location. Operates all café equipment to include espresso machine, coffee brewer, Vitamix blenders, espresso grinders, cold‑brew + nitro taps. Prepares and presents beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards. Serves prepared food items. Understands the health benefits that fruits and vegetables provide. Collects and processes payments from the customer including cash, credit/debit cards and gift cards. Maintains clean and hygienic work area. Dismantles and cleans machinery daily to uphold sanitary standards. Displays merchandise and supplements in an aesthetic and functional manner. Monitors and orders inventory as needed. Completes opening and closing duties for each shift. Cross‑trains in back‑of‑house operations to include juicing operations as needed. Completes all tasks as assigned by leadership in a timely manner. Must obtain food safety certification if not already certified. This is a part‑time position at Woodlake Market. Shifts will vary on weekdays and weekends between 5:00 am and 6:00 pm. Skills/Requirements Applicants must be 18+ years or older to apply. Weekends are required. Previous experience or familiarity with varieties of coffee drinks and equipment preferred. Learn2Serve Certification preferred. Previous experience with some food preparation preferred. Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail needed. The ability to walk and stand for the majority of each shift, and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. The hourly range for this position is $11.00 - $16.50 plus tips/gratuity.
