Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hours/day, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Work hours may vary during different phases of the crop season due to agricultural and operational requirements.
Job Duties: Workers will operate farm machinery to support the cultivation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting of crops including wheat, canola, sunflowers, and rye. Duties include driving and operating tractors and related equipment to perform field operations such as plowing, discing, drilling, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting. Workers will attach and detach farm implements, including plows, discs, and seed drills. Employees will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, lubricating, and performing routine service checks on equipment, including checking fluid levels to ensure proper operation. Workers may perform minor mechanical repairs as needed to maintain equipment efficiency. Duties also include transporting water, fuel, seed, and other supplies between fields and storage locations. Manual labor tasks include maintaining and organizing farm facilities and grounds, cleaning work areas, and performing general upkeep of equipment and housing areas.
Worker must be available and willing to work the entire season.
Worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.
No High School Diploma or GED required.
Three (3) months of experience relevant to the job is required.
Worker must have a valid Class D Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within sixty (60) days of hire.
Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
Worker must be able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.

The employer may, at their sole discretion, offer additional compensation or non-monetary benefits for exceptional performance beyond those listed herein.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Full Time
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
